Hi, I'm Kurt.

Kurt Coded is my independent consultancy, based in Trinidad & Tobago. I help organizations get more out of the systems and data they already rely on — and build new ones when that's the better answer.

I've spent my career close to the systems that run serious businesses, including enterprise IBM i (AS/400) platforms in the financial sector. That's meant everything from writing SQL, RPG, and CL against DB2, to building internal tools in C# and Python, to tightening security and untangling performance problems on systems people can't afford to have go down.

What I keep seeing is the same gap: reliable systems that have quietly fallen out of step with how the business now works — data trapped in spreadsheets, reports that take all morning, platforms that won't integrate with anything modern. I like closing that gap pragmatically: keep what works, fix what doesn't, and skip the rip-and-replace wherever it isn't warranted.
